MARTIN EGIDI
CELLO
Martin Egidi studied at the HEMU Lausanne with Patrick Demenga obtaining a Bachelor with honour. He was then laureate of various national prizes. In 2018 he entered the class of Danjulo Ishizaka at the Musik-Akademie Basel and took part in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as David Geringas, Gustav Rivinius, Stephan Forck or Marko Ylönen.

Martin is a prize winner of the 2020 Migros Kulturprozent Competition.
Since his youngest age, Martin has been performing in chamber music formations, recently in duo with percussionist Augustin Lipp or as a member of the Opalio Piano Quintet, in festivals in Switzerland and abroad such as the Davos Festival, Sine Nomine Festival, Week-end Musical de Pully or Schwäbischer Frühling.

Martin has a great interest in the contemporary and ancient music repertoire and is currently studying the baroque cello with Christophe Coin at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis.
